Lucknow August 6, 2016. Senior PRO SGPGI Ms Monalisa Chaudhari, unanimously elected as the Chairperson of the Public Relations Society of India’s (PRSI) Lucknow Chapter on Saturday here. She along with her new cabinet took the oath of office here on the occasion of National PR Education Day program organized at Mini Auditorium of Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences. Her predecessor, Dr Ashok Kumar Sharma retired Joint Director Information is unanimously appointed as the Patron and the Advisor of Lucknow PRSI.
Earlier Dr, Sharma announced the results of the unanimous election as the Presiding Officer and administered the Oath of Office to the new Chairperson amidst loud fanfare. Dr Sharma profusely appreciated the contribution and the integrity of Ms Chaudhari, who worked tirelessly as the chapter Secretary and organized multiple activities without having any resources at all.
Later in her maiden speech as the Chairperson Ms. Chaudhari assured the PR fraternity to work continuously for the uplifting of the Lucknow chapter, which already ranks on the third position in entire country. The Kolkata PRSI has the maximum number of the professional members followed by Ahmedabad, whereas Lucknow chapter gained third position only within an year. Ms Chaudhari declared her new cabinet and administered all of them the oath of office.

Jamaluddin, PRO, SGPGIMS, Lucknow as the EC members.
Ms. Chaudhary declared that soon more active members will be inducted in the EC, after evaluating their dedication and the contribution towards the goals and purpose of the body. The program was aptly conducted by Ms Kusum Yadav, Asst. PRO SGPGIMS.
The function incidentally coincided with the occasion of the first National PR Education Day, that is unanimously adapted on the occasion of the 83rd birthday of Dr CV Narasimha Reddi, the Past National President of PRSI and symbol of professional excellence and commitment to the Public Relations profession.
On this occasion the EC Member Prof Dr Tanu Dang read before the audience a message from Dr Ajit Pathak, National President, PRSI, mentioning his significant contributions of Dr. Reddy to the Public Relations
Management, PR professional bodies and PR education all over the country. It hailed Dr Reddi’s love and commitment for PR education is so well known that he is often referred as the father of the Modern Indian Public Relations. Dr. Reddi’s services were also drawn by the AP State Council for Higher Education for developing model curriculum and formulating PR courses. He also served national academic bodies like the IIMC, New Delhi, UGC, BHU, Osmania University, Telugu University, Mahila University, Tirupathi, Press Academy of Andhra Pradesh and authored a number of books as well.
